Composition

• Furosemide 5 g.

Indications

It is indicated when a diuretic potential greater than that obtained when common diuretics are used is needed. In the reabsorption of accumulations of non-inflammatory liquids of cardiac, renal, or other origin.

Congestive heart failure. Pulmonary and bronchial edema. Edema of the foreskin, scrotum and extremities. Physiological edema of the udder (postpartum).

In edema caused by acute inflammations of the tissues whether of infectious, traumatic or allergic origin.

As a coadjuvant in the treatment of acute pododermis or Envaramiento of equines. To prevent the adeno of glottis in cases of viper bites.

Route of Administration

Intramuscular, intravenous.

Dose

• Horses: 5 - 10 ml. one to two times per day.
  
• Cattle: 5 - 10 ml. once a day.
• Dogs and cats: 0.25 - 0.50 ml. every 5k of weight.

In severe or unruly cases this dose can be increased.

Precautions

Do not use in patients with anuria. The effect of the treatment can be influenced by the increase in water intake. therefore, the water consumption during the treatment must be limited.

Withdrawal Period

Do not use the meat of the treated animals for human consumption until 7 days after the last treatment. Do not destine to the human consumption and the dairy industry, the milk of the treated animals until after 48 hours of the last treatment.
